spit pig roast
By David Finters

My friend is getting married in the summer and, instead of going down the usual road of organising a sit down dinner for all of her guests, she is thinking of ordering a Spit Pig Roast instead. I told her that I thought this was a great idea. I have always wanted to go to a Spit Pig Roast and the idea seems so simple but so delicious. She agreed with me when I spoke to her about it. Indeed, she said that the idea of the simplicity of a Spit Pig Roast was what appealed to her the most. As she said, organising a wedding is an extremely difficult business at the best of times and anything she could do to cut down the stress would make her own and everybody else`s lives a lot easier. This, she felt would enable her to really relax on the day itself and enjoy properly the most important day of her life. She also thought that her friends and family would appreciate the informality of this kind of catering as they really did not like a lot of fuss of any kind. I think her wedding is going to be absolutely fabulous and I cannot wait.

I`m all for renewable types of energy and I`d certainly embrace solar and wind power to help cut down on those extortionate fuel bills. My only gripe, if any, is the look of traditional wind turbines that tend to look rather awkward if the truth be known. Yes they do a great job but they are just plain ugly and make no attempt to blend into the background. This is changing though because a new type of vertical axis wind turbine is harvesting winds from all directions. Plenty of UK sites are now benefiting from a Sky Rota turbine and you can bet that plenty more will be in the very near future. It`s quite amazing at how handsome the Sky Rota looks once it has been installed. Plenty of thought has gone into the stunning design, so that it enhances, rather than hinders the background. Other manufacturers of wind turbines should hang their head in shame because the Sky Rota produces power whilst looking aesthetically pleasing at the same time. No longer do you have to put up with an unsightly mast and propeller blades, as this type of turbine looks pretty tasty and can generate a fair amount of electricity throughout the year.
